Simple Black Turtleneck

I looked through my closet a few days ago, and I realized that turtlenecks are slowly creeping their way back into my wardrobe. I had written them off in my teenage years. I thought they weren’t going to make a comeback until I realized that I bought turtlenecks without…realizing that I bought turtlenecks. That made sense in my head. Anyway, a turtleneck can be a very versatile item in your wardrobe. You can dress it up or dress it down. It all depends on how you accessorize it. Also, you don’t have to have a fancy, expensive turtleneck. The one I am featuring in this post is about 20 dollars from Target and is actually a “layerable.” The simplicity of a simple black turtleneck is an absolute staple and should be in every girl’s wardrobe!

I am very proud of myself because I tucked my shirt in for every outfit in this blog post. I am very aware of my problem area and I like I mentioned before, I try very hard to hide it. Today all of my outfits looked cleaner when the shirt was tucked in. Ladies (and gentlemen), don’t be afraid of tucking your shirt in. Sometimes you have to go for it. Tummies are problem areas for some people, but that shouldn’t stop you from tucking your shirt in. ESPECIALLY if it creates a cleaner look.

Black Turtleneck with black leather pants, black Dr. Martens, and red and black plaid puffer jacket. An effortless outfit to create, classic black on black with a pop of color. I was able to add some dimension by playing with textures. Also, PSA, for any of you who own Dr. Martens and are still breaking them in, try the Chelsea style! These shoes were incredibly comfortable and no break-in necessary.

Black turtleneck with white pleated skirt, snakeskin mules, black belt, and faux pearl necklace. I’m not sure where I’m going, but I’m definitely going somewhere! Please invite me to your brunches, your events, your children’s graduations. I am giving total luxurious auntie vibes and loving it! This is a great way to dress up a black turtleneck, versatility at its finest.

Black turtleneck with blue jeans, patchwork shawl, black belt, brown shoes, and a black hat. If I was giving you luxurious auntie vibes before then, I’m definitely going for it twice! This outfit is effortless but fun at the same time. I enjoyed belting my shawl, I thought it created a different look. The hat was just a cute accessory that I got on clearance in Target (at this point, they should pay me for sponsoring).
